How is time zone difference taken care of?

The application operates according to Moscow time (UTC+3). But users from other regions can still exercise on their own time and upload activities and steps. How does it work?
  • Steps sync
Users from other time zones: east of Moscow (UTC+4 and more) or west of Moscow (UTC+2 and less) see their steps in the app the next day after the project start date — just like users from Moscow.
For example, if the project starts on September 1 at 0:00 Moscow time, then:
1. A resident of Moscow will see his steps for September 1 only the next day: September 2
2. A participant from Khabarovsk (UTC+10) will see his steps for September 1 only the next day: September 2 (on Khabarovsk time)
3. New Yorker (UTC-4) will only see their steps for September 1 when it is September 2nd local time in New York
  • Upload any other activities (excluding steps)
Participants from regions east of Moscow (UTC+4 and more) should pay attention. If you start the training before the official start of the project in Moscow, the app will not count it. However, at the end of the global challenge, a user from another region will get "extra hours" compared to the Moscow time.
For example, if the difference is 2 hours (UTC+5), the user will receive +2 hours at the end of the challenge.
So everyone can be on the equal ground regardless of geography and practice comfortably at their own pace and time.
